Project Overview 

CTS was engaged by Dragados to form part of the internal delivery team responsible for the slab track installation package within the Bank Station Capacity Upgrade (BSCU). The works were delivered during a critical 17-week Northern Line blockade, within a highly constrained underground environment.

Project Scope

• Management of the track installation package from compliance through to IFC
• Installation of approximately 700m of cast in-situ concrete slab track
• Installation of 3rd and 4th rail conductor rail systems
• Project and construction management
• Engineering supervision and technical assurance
• Handover and entry into revenue service

Delivery

CTS provided specialist slab track expertise alongside full project and construction management capability, ensuring precise installation tolerances and integration with conductor rail systems.

Operating within a 17-week blockade, CTS coordinated design compliance, installation sequencing, engineering assurance, and final handover to support safe re-entry into passenger service.

The works were completed safely and in line with the programme requirements of the wider Northern Line upgrade.
