Project Overview 

CTS delivered reinforced concrete slab track works within Mountfield Tunnel as part of a major infrastructure upgrade. The works were undertaken during a tightly controlled 9-day blockade, requiring detailed planning and precision execution within a constrained tunnel environment.

Project Scope

• Installation of 230m of reinforced concrete slab for new slab track
• Installation of steel reinforcement and timber formwork
• Pumping, placing, and finishing of concrete
• Concrete mix trials to ensure pumpability and rapid strength gain
• Placement of concrete on high cant sections

Delivery

All labour, plant, and materials were managed and supplied by CTS, with works completed safely, on programme, and within the planned blockade window. Extensive mix trials ensured performance requirements were achieved under challenging tunnel and high-cant conditions.
